Butchery Class at Ginger Pig
Just thought I would write a quick review of the Butchery class at the Ginger Pig.
Got the voucher as a birthday present, went in open minded not knowing what to expect. The experience was amazing. It takes place at their shop in Marylebone and it was a really nice, unusual, fun experience.
The guys that run the class Borut and Perry were amazing, funny, very knowledgeable, skilled at their craft and passionate about their product.
If you are a foodie or would just like to learn where your food comes from or just learn a new skill, I would highly advise doing the class. Not only for blokes either, my class had a few ladies, and everyone got involved.
The class gets to watch and get some hands-on while Perry butchers the pig carcass. Then everyone gets the chance to butcher their own joints. Knives and protective gear are all supplied by Ginger Pig. Best of all, you get to take that joint home.
Once the class is over, it’s time to eat… Delicious roast port, with the best crunchy crackling ever, served with the best dauphinoise potatoes, some delicious white wine and if that wasn’t enough a delicious bread and butter pudding.
loved the experience, might look into doing a different class.
